Southwest Service Administrators is currently hiring an experienced Network Security Administrator. We are looking for an experienced individual for the administration of our network and security infrastructure. Responsibilities include vetting, maintaining and improving our existing networking and security technologies and policies to ensure regulation compliance and systems integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and monitors security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data.

  • Performs routine network security assessments and risk assessments.

  • Responsible for all aspects of security remediation associated with vulnerability and penetration testing.

  • Investigate, research and deploy new networking and security technology.

  • Oversee monitoring of logs, vulnerability testing, security audits and incident resolution activity

  • Provides support to Security Analyst handling escalated issues and as backup.

  • Promotes all Information Security best practices as well as HIPAA security compliance in all software implementations and configurations.

  • Management of anti-virus/anti-malware software including server and desktop protection.

  • Analyzes traffic, workload and utilization trends for optimum network performance to ensure organization's objectives are met.

  • Troubleshoots network issues.

  • Updates and maintains network equipment and software.

  • Supports VoIP Phone system (ShoreTel w/ECC).

  • Provide Tier 3 support on all phone/phone system maintenance, break/fix service, voicemail, call routing, and telecommunications related services.

  • Responsible for Administration, configuration, maintenance, scripting, backup and troubleshooting FTP and fax servers.      

  • Manages configuration settings, anti-spam and encryption rules for Email and Email Encryption Servers.

  • Provides Tier 3 helpdesk support handling escalated issues from Tier 2 and Tier1 helpdesk.

  • Assists other Tier 3 with research, monitoring and troubleshooting:

  • Various Server roles including AD, DNS, DHCP, FILE, APP, Encryption

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 plus years of Network Security Administration experience.
  • Minimum 4 plus years in a helpdesk or related IT position supporting over 100 end users in both local and remote branch offices as well as home user support.
  • Requires advanced knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware and software.
  • Work requires extensive knowledge of network administration and data security administration.
  • In depth understanding of network security best practices.
  • Experience building, troubleshooting, and maintaining technical hardware, including network devices, servers and other related hardware.
  • Email (Alt-N MDaemon) and phone system (ShoreTel) administration experience a plus.
  • Ability to work under strict Information Security regulations including HIPAA, being security conscious in everything.
  • Experience in IT document writing including security policies and disaster recovery documentation is a plus.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel to branch offices (occasionally).
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and after hours availability as needed.
  • Weekly after hours maintenance work is required (typically Friday nights)
