Southwest Service Administrators is a Third Party Administrator (TPA) providing unique and specialized administrative services to labor-management Trust Funds (primarily) in the southwest United States with offices in Phoenix, AZ (our corporate service center), Albuquerque, NM and Salt Lake City, UT since 1995.

Southwest Service Administrators is currently hiring an experienced Customer Service Representative. This position focuses on providing information on health and welfare, benefits and claim status to hospitals, providers and participants.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to and documents telephone, written and walk-in inquiries regarding benefits, or claim status in an efficient prompt and professional manner.
  • Maintains current knowledge of plan of benefits in order to provide correct information to plan participants and providers.
  • Updates files with new information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior Customer Service experience is required.
  • Minimum 35 WPM typing speed and proficient in 10 key.
  • Prior experience in a medical setting (doctor’s billing office, hospital billing, etc.) is helpful.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD9/10 codes and HCFA forms preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from participants and providers.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time operating a computer keyboard.
