Southwest Service Administrators is a Third Party Administrator (TPA) providing unique and specialized administrative services to labor-management Trust Funds (primarily) in the southwest United States with offices in Phoenix, AZ (our corporate service center), Albuquerque, NM and Salt Lake City, UT since 1995.

Southwest Service Administrators is currently hiring an experienced Medical Claims Supervisor. This position reports to the Claims Department Manager and will supervise and coach the staff’s daily operations as well as process medical and dental claims.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training support for new employees and existing staff
  • Research, develop, document, and present policies and procedures.
  • Provide full-time support as a resource for Claims.
  • Create and Maintain claims spreadsheets/reference tools for staff
  • Ensures and maintains department quality and turnaround time standards
  • Evaluate and enter reporting data as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the claims analyst process
  • Knowledge of medical/dental terminology
  • Understanding of Third Party Administrating concepts
  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and execute policy and procedures
  • Ability to manage special projects
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 2-4 years supervisory experience
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Prior claims processing experience required
