Overview

Southwest Service Administrators is a Third Party Administrator (TPA) providing unique and specialized administrative services to labor-management Trust Funds (primarily) in the southwest United States with offices in Phoenix, AZ (our corporate service center), Albuquerque, NM and Salt Lake City, UT since 1995.

Southwest Service Administrators is currently hiring an experienced Enrollment Processor. This position focuses processing enrollment for plan member health benefit plans.

Responsibilities

 

  •  Process enrollment and legal documents for all plans.
  •  Maintain knowledge of all plans eligibility & enrollment rules.
  •  Verify provider credentials & update data base.
  •  Process Appeals – Writing Summaries, aggressively pursuing approvals and overturning denials.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Knowledge in aspects of eligibility rules and the enrollment process, including but not limited to, coordination of benefits.
  •  Exceptional writing skills, ability to interpret and accurately respond to inquiries in a professional, efficient manner, as well as be persuasive.
  •  Knowledge of Health Care Appeals.
  •  Minimum of 2 years in an enrollment processing position.
  •  Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  •  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the Organization.
  •  Ability to operate a personal computer, photocopier and scanner.
  •  Ability to type at least 35 wpm.
  •  Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, including Word and Excel.
  •  Exceptional organizational skills.
  •  Ability to deal professionally with different types of personalities by phone or in person.
  •  Ability to work independently / also as part of a team.
  •  Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  •  Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
  •  Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful, but not required.
