    Southwest Service Administrators is currently hiring an experienced Lead AccountantThe focus of this position is to provide accurate and timely financial information to our account managers and clients by coaching and coordinating the accounting team’s efforts and performing similar duties for specific clients.

    Work Schedule:

    M-F; 40 hours per week with overtime as required


    • Supervise, coach and mentor the accounting clerical staff.
    • Review transactions and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist in managing online banking security and access for multiple banks.
    • Assist in maintaining and updating the accounting system.
    • Collaborate with other managers on processes and procedures.
    • Coordinate with external auditors on client audits.
    • Compute and record financial transactions in the accounting systems.
    • Reconcile multiple bank and trust account statements.
    • Process invoices, journal entries and payroll tax returns.
    • Maintain client and accounting files.
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


    • Two (2) year Accounting Degree with an Analytical mindset
    • Five to seven (5-7) years of work experience in payables, general ledger, account reconciliations, and payroll taxes.
    • Experience with receivables and financial statement preparation a plus
    • Ability to supervise clerical staff and be part of a team
    • Healthcare and ERISA trust experience helpful
    • Capable of maintaining a professional demeanor when working with different personalities.
    • Very strong attention to detail is critical.
    • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.
    • Ability to work in multiple software applications.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities across multiple clients.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
